Crochet Seatbelt Strap Cover
Ever feel like your seatbelt is cutting into your neck? I have lowered mine as low as it will go and I still have days that it rubs and bothers me. As a result, I crocheted a seatbelt sleeve that works really well!
These sleeves work up pretty fast and are a great addition to your market prep. They are perfect for every season!
I chose to use cotton yarn with a 4mm hook. I also use 5 – 1″ buttons on each cover. I used both Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Cotton and K/C Essential Cotton Yarn.
I used 5 1″ buttons for each strap. I didn’t want big gaps between buttons so that the cover would fit snug. There are SO many button options to choose from. I stuck with wood buttons in these fun styles.
It would also be fun to have one made with blanket yarn, so I will work that up too. I will add that to the bottom.
Seatbelts are about 2″ wide, so these strap covers are about 4″ plus a flap. I chose to chain and SC into the BACK BUMP of the chains. You will need to chain loosely or you could size up and use a 4.5mm hook for the chain.
