I had a customer looking for a specific College themed golf club cover. I did a little research and found both fabric and crochet. She wanted a crochet cover, so I spent a couple of days working up a pattern for fairway woods. That is the size she was looking for. It took a couple of tries to get the right sizing. After creating the fairway woods size, I worked up a large one for the driver and a small one for the irons, wedges or putter. After completing the Team set, I worked up a more feminine set with the Suzette Stitch. Both styles have fun poms on top that are totally optional.

Both sets come with 3 sizes for the covers. Driver – large, Fairway Woods – medium and Irons/Wedges and Putter should fit the small size. You could make yourself a full set of covers if you choose. Or they would make a great gift set for your favorite golfer.

I also have the small (irons/wedges/putter) cover and large (driver) with buttons.

For my markets, I make a variety, but mostly make the medium size for Fairway Woods. Most Drivers come with covers and most people aren’t going to buy a full set of iron covers at a market.

I prefer using Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn. I was working up some Team covers and the only color I could find to make a Detroit Lions cover was Red Heart yarn. It is not as soft and doesn’t have as much stretch/give to it so I made a driver pattern with buttons so it was easier to get over the club head. Also after making the small size for the irons, I realized the band was a bit long, so I made a shorter band with a button.
