Snowflake Fingerless Gloves
Have you ever worked with the Star Stitch? I love it! Since I made these in the winter, they looked like snowflakes, so the Snowflake pattern came about.
I love wearing fingerless gloves to my kids sporting events. I take so many pictures and videos that it gets so annoying taking gloves on and off when you have to use your phone. I even use them when I go for a walk when it is cold. I just curl my fingers up when they get chilly.
This pattern is written for an average female hand size. You can easily adjust the sizing by increasing or decreasing the cuff by 2 rows. This is written for 28 rows.

Star Stitch
The first Star Stitch at the beginning of a row is a little different. Follow the first Star here: Ch 2. Draw up a loop in the front bump of the second ch from hook, draw up another loop in back strand of the same ch. Draw up a loop in the next 3 SC STs. (should have 6 loops on hook) Yarn over, pull through all 6 loops. Chain 1.
For the rest of the Star Stitches follow this:
*Draw up a loop in the center (eye) of the previous star, draw up a loop in the last leg of the previous star (I like to go through both loops), draw up a loop in the SC used as a base for the previous star. Draw up a loop in the next two SC. Yarn over, pull through all 6 loops. Chain 1* Repeat from * to * and finish with a HDC2tog in stitch from last leg of star, and last SC. Turn.
Cuff:
Chain 13,
RD 1 – SC in second chain from hook, continue across (12 SC)
RD 2 – SC in first ST, SC BLO in the next 10 spaces, SC in the last ST, CH 1, TURN
RD 3-28 – repeat row 2
Body:
RD 1 – CH 1 and continue across the side of the cuff, SC in the end of each row, should have 28 SCs, CH 2 , TURN
RD 2 – Star Stitch across, HDC2tog in last space of the previous Star and the last ST so you don’t end with a hole, CH 1, turn
RD 3 – HDC in first ST, SC2 in each eye space of the Star Stitch from the precious row, HDC in last ST, CH 2, turn
RD 4-11 – repeat rows 2 & 3
