Suzette Mittens

Mittens for all! This winter I enjoyed working on some new pieces. When market season is over, it gives me time to spend working on new patterns and ideas. Over the last couple of years I have created some beanies and fingerless gloves. They are very popular items. I got several requests for mittens, so this winter, making some mittens to match beanies I already had was my goal.
Since my beanie pattern comes in several sizes, I decided to make the mitten pattern include mittens for all the same sizes. Sizes are approximate based on measurements.
Beanies and fingerless gloves are a big seller at markets. This winter I will test the mittens and see how they do.
I use worsted weight yarn for my winter makes. I prefer the softest yarns. One of my favorites is Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn. It is so soft and offers SO MANY color choices. Heartland and Pound of Love are also great options. I do feel like Pound of Love is slightly thinner than ILTY, but it still works up great.

Matching sets are great for giving as gifts. I have several sets that have matching pieces. The Suzette set, Maddy set, Snowflake set and Warm Hugs set. Each set has a combination of matching pieces. A beanie, fingerless gloves, cowl and/or mittens. You can mix and match so many options.
