Warm Hugs Cowl

This year, I decided to make a cowl and mitten to match each of my beanie and glove sets. It helps create options for people who like to make sets as gifts.

This set is made with a 3dcCL (3 Double Crochet Cluster). I posted a challenge on Facebook asking people to help suggest a name for this set and Warm Hugs won. The written pattern that you can purchase has options for a scarf and an infinity scarf. So there are many options.

This is made with worsted weight yarn. Hobby Lobby ILTY. This pattern can be done in a solid color or you can mix it up using 2 colors like the picture above. In the above picture, the main areas are made with a solid color and I did the rows of 3dcCL in a variegated color.

The pattern is written for an average adult size. You can make it longer or shorter by adding or deleting chains in your beginning round by 2.

3dcCl: 3 Double Crochet Cluster. This happens all in the same space.  Yarn over and insert hook into space, draw up a loop, yarn over and pull through 2 loops.  You will have 2 loops left on your hook. Repeat 2 more times.  You will have 4 loops on your hook.  Yarn over and pull through all 4 loops to complete the cluster.  CH 1
