Pumpkins

This is the season for all things PUMPKIN! Everything is Pumpkin Spice and pumpkin decor is everywhere. They are a big seller at fall markets!
It has taken me a few years to come up with a pumpkin pattern I loved. I worked with blanket yarn a lot this year and decided to create a pumpkin pattern with it. It made the best pumpkins! There are SO MANY color choices in solids and patterns that you can find a color for every decor pallet. The texture of the Lemon Peel stitch is great too.

This pattern can also be worked with any chunky yarn OR you could use 2 strands of your favorite worsted weight yarn and change your hook size to 6.5mm OR use 1 strand of worsted weight yarn and a 4.5mm hook. I will include the pattern for 1 strand of worsted weight yarn at the bottom. My stitch counts were different.

You can choose to purchase precut wood stems or you can make them yourself. You could also use Cinnamon sticks as your stem. Totally up to you. The bow is also optional and you can choose to use raffia, yarn, twine or ribbon if you want to use something you already have. You could also embellish them with leaves or flowers.
I found an Etsy seller that had leather leaves as tags. I purchased some with my company name and used them to embellish the top.
